Oregon Business Weekly | Modern Day Oregon Trail

I had the pleasure of working with Art Director Jon Taylor on this illustration for Oregon Business Magazine, in Portland, Oregon. The project is comprised of a full page and a half spread and 4 spot illustrations accompanying the article: “DATA DIG: DO PEOPLE FOLLOW JOBS.” As a former Portlander (Portlandian) I was eager to delve into this project and incorporate iconic Portland details – architecture, bridges, the Made in Oregon sign, etc. The illustration also features job specific characters on the modern day Oregon Trail. The article asks and answers the interesting question – does employment drive population?
